The year is 1975, and the West German embassy in Stockholm is occupied by German terrorists. It's an attack not only on the embassy, but on Sweden's long-standing pride as a peaceful nation. In the aftermath of the violent occupation, the Swedish Security Police suspects the six terrorists had help from the outside, possibly from a group of Swedish sympathizers. Markus Haglund (Mikael Persbrandt) is a criminal law professor fond of liquors, promiscuous relationships and disobeying superiors. At Uppsala University near Stockholm, he establishes a class of 4 law students, Anna Sjöstedt (Helena af Sandeberg), Fia Jönsson (Sofia Ledarp), Belal Al-Mukhtar (Francisco Sobrado) and Roger Andersson (Leonard Terfelt), called Oskyldigt dömd (Innocently Convicted), dealing with cases where persons are already sentenced and imprisoned, assisting the convicted in fight for their innocence and freedom. In this comedy we meet 30 year old Björn. He lives in a house in Stockholm with his wife Sanna and has a job at a commercial bureau in town. Sanna is on a long-term sick leave because she is stressed out. At least that is what she says.. Henrik, Björns brother, is a frequent guest at their house.
